4 Characteristics of Christian Leadership

At the Institute for HEALTH by FAITH, we teach you TOTAL mind + body + soul HEALTH and how to
Let Your FAITH Lead Your HEALTH, LIFE, & RELATIONSHIPS

We believe that God has already equipped you in a leadership role, sometimes, you need someone to help you find that person in you!

We also believe that you can LEAD through your faith, health, and communication.  Have you ever thought about leadership in relation to those three areas?

Here at IHF, we focus on Focuses on these pillars: Faith, Communication, Life’s Purpose, Leadership, Health in the development of leadership. In this article, I am going to share 4 Characteristics extracted from our program to help you with your leadership!

Characteristic One: Your personal relationship with God, the posture of your heart

We believe that your faith is the foundation and is everything in life.   Your faith connects to your values, beliefs, morals, integrity, and truly how you live life.  Often we are carrying around old wounds or fears that prevent us from knowing our true identity and full purpose in God’s love for us.

When you operate from a space and place where you are rooted in God, your leadership is based on an entirely different definition than traditional leaders.  This is the secret to finding your true leadership.

Characteristic Two:  Your definition of success

You care about others and you want them to succeed at everything they do, right?  This is what makes you passionate about learning more about leadership.  So how do you actually help someone reach their success?  Well, it can start with you first setting the example.

When it comes to you personally, how do you define success?  Most people think of titles, achievements as grandiose successes in those categories, but what are you actually striving for?

You can experience success by setting goals that are attainable and working towards them with consistent baby steps, but are you after the wrong goal?

As a leader, remember it’s all about your communication and how you lead others, which is by your example.  So this is a great way to think about and evaluate what is my true reason for doing what I do?  What do others see?

Characteristic Three: You’re a go-getter, a learner, and you are coachable

One thing we teach at IHF is the beauty of always learning.  But with always learning, there has to be the implementation and acting upon your new knowledge; otherwise, what good is it?!  So we start by walking you through your own personal development and ask you if you are coachable?  When you start to set goals and apply what you’re learning, that’s where the amazing growth happens, which then becomes that ripple effect to those around you.  So it’s a lot easier than it seems to start and implement new things.

One of these areas is helping you connect with others differently, which begins to define Your LEADERSHIP.

Naturally, the hidden leader in you is developed because you are operating in a place and space of people and love over self, and people see that in you.  You develop Leadership qualities that produce integrity, trustworthiness, and pioneer thinking to pave the way for where you are doing and taking others.

You lead with empathy and emotional health and people notice that, and feel that from you.

Characteristic Four: Your communication

Now that you’ve read this article and learned how your relationship with God, your definition of success (aka motive), and determine if you’re coachable, now you’ll learn how your communication connects to your leadership.

Believe it or not, but every conversation you have is an invitation to coach someone.

COACHING isn’t exactly what you think it is…

COACHING IS CONNECTING

You start to become that ripple effect because when you learn coaching, it changes your heart, your approach, your perspectives of others’ behavior.

You start operating from a place that is fully present, patient, transparent, confident, intimate, and personal.

When you learn how to connect differently with others, you are actually learning how to take your relationships and conversations to a deep level where both you and the person you’re speaking with start to feel seen, heard, valued, and respected.

ALL industries, ALL communication, truly ALL that you do in life revolves around COACHING!

From a quick hello to a stranger to communication with your co-workers and even in your personal relationships from friendships, relationship(s), or children, YOU are always provided with an opportunity to inspire and lead by example, making a positive difference in someone else.  Literally, an opportunity to be an answer to someone’s prayer each and every day!
